In seemingly everyday scenes, Nagli\u010d recognised compelling subjects and photographed them as visual stories, long before the emergence of modern photojournalism. On the reverse side of his photographs, he recorded locations, dates and descriptions of the subjects, thereby placing them within the context of time and place.
