Ko padejo semena\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/b><\/h2>\n

\u00bbAraucaria angustifolia je edinstveno drevo, ki navdu\u0161uje s svojo lepoto in odpornostjo, \u017eivi pa lahko ve\u010d sto let. Kot protagonist in o\u010dividec zgodb, ki so oblikovale mojo pot, brazilski bor presega svojo naravno vlogo v tamkaj\u0161nji flori, saj pooseblja tudi vrnitev k mojim lastnim koreninam in vzpostavljanje vezi s spremembami, ki so bile posledice \u010dasa in selitev.<\/p>\n

Povr\u0161ina borovega gozda v Paran\u00e1ju se je tekom \u010dasa drasti\u010dno zmanj\u0161ala zaradi nenadzorovanega zasedanja ozemlja in nebrzdane urbanizacije. Preobrazba regijske krajine neposredno odra\u017ea mojo lastno zgodovino. Tako kot so ljudje za pre\u017eivetje odvisni drug od drugega, tudi drevesa brazilskega bora sama ne pre\u017eivijo; da proizvedejo semena, pinh\u00e3o, so namre\u010d za opra\u0161itev odvisna od vetra. Ideja medsebojne odvisnosti in obnavljanja odra\u017ea dru\u017einski cikel, ki ga metafori\u010dno predstavljata borov stor\u017e in hi\u0161a. Stor\u017e, ki pade na tla, se razpo\u010di in raztrese semena, iz katerih zrastejo nova drevesa, je kot dru\u017eina, ki do\u017eivlja obdobja lo\u010ditve in obnovitve.<\/p>\n

Tako kot semena borovega stor\u017ea imajo tudi fotografije mo\u010d, da nas soo\u010dijo s spomini, ki smo jih shranili, in tistimi, ki tudi po padcu na tla \u0161e vedno nosijo obljubo novih za\u010detkov.\u00ab \u2013 M\u00e1rcia Beltr\u00e3o<\/p>\n

When the Seeds Fall<\/b><\/b><\/h2>\n

\u201cAraucaria angustifolia is a unique tree that impresses with its beauty and resilience. It can live for hundreds of years and it transcends its natural role in Brazilian flora to become both a protagonist and a witness to the narratives that have shaped my journey. It represents a return to my roots and a connection to the transformations brought about by the passage of time and my displacements.<\/p>\n

The Araucaria forest cover in Paran\u00e1 has drastically declined over time due to uncontrolled territorial occupation and rampant urbanisation. This transformation of the region\u2019s landscape directly reflects my own history. Just as human beings depend on one another to survive, Araucaria trees do not perpetuate in isolation; they rely on wind pollination to produce their seeds, the pinh\u00e3o. This idea of mutual dependence and renewal mirrors the cycle of the family, metaphorically represented by the pine cone and the house. Like the pine cone, which falls to the ground, splits open and scatters its seeds, giving rise to new trees, the family also experiences separations and renewals.<\/p>\n

Just like the seeds of the pine cone, photographs have the power to generate new cycles of memory, enabling encounters with recollections that we have preserved and those that, even after falling to the ground, still carry the promise of new beginnings.\u201d \u2013 M\u00e1rcia Beltr\u00e3o<\/p>\n

arhive, krajino ter vezi med ljudmi in naravo ter odpira vpra\u0161anja spomina, prostora,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

odsotnosti in preobrazbe. Prejela je nagrado Nova Fotografia 2019, ki jo podeljuje MIS-SP,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

kjer je predstavila samostojno razstavo Em Curso in kjer je njeno delo tudi del muzejske\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

zbirke. Leta 2025 je predstavila samostojno razstavo Ko padejo semena v Galeriji Kranjske\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

hi\u0161e v Sloveniji, v okviru Kranj Foto Fest 2025. Njeno delo je bilo predstavljeno tudi na\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

skupinskih razstavah v Braziliji in Sloveniji, med drugim v Pa\u00e7o das Artes ter v Mali Galeriji\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cankarjevega doma.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Marcia Beltr\u00e3o <\/b>is a Brazilian photographer based in S\u00e3o Paulo. Her work brings together\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

family archives, landscape, and the ties between people and nature, engaging questions of\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

memory, territory, absence, and transformation. She was awarded the Nova Fotografia 2019\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Prize by MIS-SP, where she presented the solo exhibition Em Curso and where her work is\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

part of the museum\u2019s collection. In 2025, she presented the solo exhibition When the Seeds\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Fall at Galerija Kranjske hi\u0161e, Kranj, Slovenia, as part of Kranj Foto Fest 2025. Her work has\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

also been featured in group exhibitions in Brazil and Slovenia, including at Pa\u00e7o das Artes,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

S\u00e3o Paulo, and Mala Galerija, Cankarjev dom, Ljubljana.<\/p>\n
